Platforms where Idekit Runtime can be run are of 3 basic groups:
The Runtime must be licensed to work correctly on Windows and Linux. Embedded devices are already preconfigured and licensed.
The platforms differ in hardware capabilities (e.g. communication ports, SD card slots), computing power and memory size. A simple devices has limited capability to control e.g. only up to 30 I/Os, while a Windows PC with Idekit Runtime is able to control thousands of physical datapoints using virtually unlimited power.
